It’s been over 3 years since I started working with Shannon. Approaching 60, I had been laid off for the first time in my life. I thought I already knew plenty about finding the work I was meant to do, but somehow I was stuck in my job search. Shannon and I met only by telephone, but we instantly hit it off, and very quickly I began to feel a shift happening. She helped me see things from a different perspective and my mind started to bubble with new possibilities. Within a month, I had 3 solid offers and had to turn 2 of them down! I feel fulfilled and appreciated as I learn and grow every day. It’s never too late!

I was in a very unrewarding work situation and really struggling to survive. Working with Shannon not only inspired me to move on, but gave me the tools and direction to find something that was best suited to my values, interests, and needs. By really exploring who I am and what my motivators are, I was able to find a position that I find rewarding, where I receive the recognition, creativity, and autonomy I need. During our time together I kept a diary of our work, and I still refer to it to ensure I am keeping on track. Shannon ’s guidance was the catalyst to change that not only made me happier in my career, but in my personal life as well.

Shannon was key in helping me to identify what is important in both my career and personal life. Through a series of work sessions, together as a team, we were able to focus on what I wanted in a career, what type of work environment is best for me to be happy, and what type of work-home balance I needed to be a whole person again. Without this I would not have had the confidence to move onto what has become a great opportunity for me. I continue to see Shannon on a regular basis because her experience and insight have proven to be important in helping me continue my path of growth and prosperity. Thank you to Shannon and the very valuable time we have spent together.

When I first met Shannon I really needed help with focus and clarity around my work. I "sorta, kinda" had a business I was calling Scratching on Paper. Workshops which entailed leadingwriting workshops, teaching yoga, working at a theater. I was all over the map! After two sessionswith Shannon, I was able to move forward with a clear business/marketing plan. Shannon took the time to really listen to what I was saying and then asked great questions. This simple process helped me to clear the clutter and get to the heart of things. Since our time together, I have a sense of confidence and purpose that I didn't have before. Shannon gave me the hands-on tools I needed to make things happen, rather than just staying in the planning process.

I’ve always been interested in many different careers, and I did some career planning on my own, but I lacked a clear direction. I didn’t know what I was looking for in a career, and I wasn’t very confident about trying something new. Working with Shannon opened my eyes to what I am capable of accomplishing for myself. During our sessions and my homework exercises, I gained a clear understanding of what I want (and don’t want) in my career, the environment in which I work best, and my strengths. Shannon helped me realize that pursuing a fulfilling career has a positive impact on all aspects of my life and that planning for my career is an important part of planning for my life. With my new-found confidence, I landed a new job with a prestigious company, and I have more balance in my life than ever. I never would have made such a great career move had it not been for Shannon.

When I suddenly found myself standing at the intersection of a mid-life shift (read crisis) and a career path that had become impossible for me to navigate, Shannon’s love your life; love your work philosophy turned out to be precisely what I needed. She helped me put together an effective resume, identify several compatible career paths, and, dare I say it, gave me a much needed boost of confidence as well.
